Fairy with thorns and snakes
Whilst the name of this painting may not make it feel that it is packed full of beauty, but I can promise you that it is. Of course, the animals themselves that sit with this dark fairy are not the cutest or cuddliest, but they all have their own place in nature. I love the fact that this fairy isn’t afraid to sit with these often unappreciated and unloved creatures. The painting itself comes absolutely packed full of detail and nuanced shading, which has made it one of my favorite oil paintings from my dark fairy series of gothic painting.
